A Movement to Pursue Justice for Immigrant Students |
The United We DREAM! Campaign is a national
effort headed by a conglomerate of grassroots and national organizations,
educators, and concerned constituents to see federal legislation
passed that would remove the current barriers keeping immigrant
students from continuing their academic and professional development.
Of particular interest to the Campaign are the enactment of
the Development, Relief, and Education
for Alien Minors Act of 2003 (S.1545)(PDF 144k) and the
Student
Adjustment Act (HR. 1864)(PDF 32k). |
The Campaign's goals are to: |
Advocate for the rights and full integration of immigrant students into our society; |
Educate the public of the plight and contributions of immigrant students; |
Urge elected officials to support and reward the hard work of immigrant students; |
Organize and participate in national events and days of action; and |
Keep its members informed and engaged in the latest legislative developments. |
